Class organisation
St Andrew's Primary Academy is a small Church of England school. We currently have 128 children split into 5 classes.
Children at St Andrew's C of E Primary Academy are taught in mixed age classes known as vertical grouping. This is a typical arrangement in small village schools and is in place across many schools that are part of the Canonium Learning Trust. To support the whole school community to view classes as one, teachers have each chosen a name for their class. This name is a British Tree, which links to both our school symbol and vision for each of our children to flourish, together.
Our published Admission Number is 30 per year group.
The class structure for the academic year 2024-2025 is as follows:
Oak Class (Reception)
Maple Class (Year 1 and Year 2)
Chestnut Class (Year 2 and Year 3)
Juniper Class (Year 4 and 5)
Sycamore Class (Year 5 and 6)
